Hamilton is known far and wide as the "Dove Capital of Texas". Located 70 miles west of Waco and 100 miles northwest of Austin, this small town of less than 10,000 people holds a Dove Festival the entire month of August. If you'd rather skip a dove hunting outing, check out The Grain which hosts concerts, corn hole tournaments, and other events throughout the year.
